Our new Justice Center is open!

The Washington County Jail houses inmates arrested by the Blair Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, as well as other surrounding counties, including but not limited to Burt, Cuming, Otoe, and Pawnee counties.

The Corrections Division is comprised of 20 civilian corrections officers, two Sergeants, four Corporals, four Jail Deputies, and one part-time court deputy. A Captain oversees operations of the Corrections Division, with the assistance of a Lieutenant. 

The Washington County Jail also offers medical and mental health services, with a Registered Nurse on staff 40 hours a week and a mental health professional 7 hours a week.

Washington County Jail operates 24 hours a day – 365 days a year.
